Abstract
Noise is one of the physical hazard factors that often occur in today's industrial era. Rice milling is one example of an industry that can cause noise. Noise in the rice milling area occurs because of the machines that operate, namely: grain threshing machines, rice grinding machines and grain skin breaking machines. Continuous exposure to noise will have an adverse impact on health, for example: hearing loss, communication disorders, psychological disorders, one of which is fatigue. The type of research used is descriptive research. The dependent variable in this study was work fatigue and the independent variable in this study was noise intensity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of work fatigue based on noise intensity in the diponorogo rice milling workforce. The sampling technique used is Random Sampling. The instruments used are Sound level meter and Reaction timer. The results in this study were workers who experienced moderate fatigue totaling 13 people, 8 people experienced severe fatigue and 2 people experienced mild fatigue. The majority of workers experienced moderate fatigue, Noise measurement was carried out at three rice mills, namely: Milling A (86.3 dB), Milling B (90.2 dB) and Milling C (90.9 dB). Fatigue measurements were carried out in three areas of the rice mill, it was found that workers who experienced mild fatigue were only 2 people, the higher the noise intensity, the higher the level of work fatigue. The data states that noise can be a factor that can cause work fatigue. Suggestions that can be given are improving working hours, using personal protective equipment (ear) or (ear plug), providing socialization to workers about the dangers of noise to increase awareness in the workforce about the importance of using PPE.
