ANALYSIS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH KNOWLEDGE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN PONOROGO REGENCY

Abstract
The teacher is the first person who can help a when an injury happens. Due to that the teacher has an important role in preventing death and danger with simple intervension, school is the right environment for inserting objective education, including safety education. Understanding students and teachers are still very lacking. Most only knowledge general about Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is given without understanding - fundamental. Objective study is analyzinge safety and health knowledge working as an elementary school teacher in the regency of Ponorogo. The type research used is study descriptive with method qualitative methodology. The method data collection used is interview. Informant study This is an elementary school’s teacher that fulfills criteria informant as many as 12 people. Research result based on stages of knowledge towards school teachers in regency of Ponorogo there are three findings occupational safety and health, conditions of danger, and factors ofdanger . The conclusion of the research shows that elementary school teachers’ knowledge of occupational safety and health is an effort made by the school to guarantee and protect teachers, school principals and children during their time at school so that all are protected from the dangers of work-related diseases both physically and mentally. This is in accordance with applicable regulations. It Suggests that socialization be carried out and include teaching materials related to occupational safety and health.
