Abstract

Gamelan production, rice milling, food and beverage processing, and convection are some of the manufacturing industries in Ponorogo. The development of industry certainly cannot run without role of humans in carrying out the production process, this is due to some jobs that require humans to work manually such as being operators, cutting, lifting and welding. This study aims to analyse potential ergonomic hazards based on work posture carried out by manufacturing industry workers in Ponorogo. The design of this study is quantitative with an observational descriptive approach with a Cross-Sectional data collection method. Data collection was carried out by conducting interviews to obtain additional information about worker profiles and observations using checklists based on SNI 9011:2021. In general, the final results of ergonomic hazard risk assessment were obtained by 102 workers with a percentage of 92% of workers in the hazardous category, 7 workers with a percentage of 6% in the category of necessary further observation, and only 2 workers with a percentage of 2% in the safe category. The main causes of high number of workers working in the hazardous category are the number of workers who perform stable arm movements with regular pauses, bodies that bend forward or to the side at angles between 20 ° - 45 ° and many workers who lift objects >5 times per minute when lifting loads manually.
