Risk Analysis of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders Based on Manual Handling Work Postures of Manufacturing Industry Workers in Ponorogo

Abstract
Manufacturing industries in Ponorogo include gamelan production, convection, rice milling, food and beverages. In the manufacturing industry, many workers involved in the work process, so there are still many workers who carry out the transportation of goods without any lifting tools. This study aims to analyze the risk of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) based on manual handling work postures among manufacturing industry employees in Ponorogo. Analytical observational research using a cross-sectional data collection design was included in this study. This study used quantitative data. This data was collected through interviews with employees of the manufacturing industry in Ponorogo containing information on the respondent's profile, age, and length of service and observing manufacturing industry employees through observation using the SNI 9011: 2021 instrument. The sampling technique used is Stratified Random Sampling and the sampling amount is calculated using the Lemeshow formula with a total sample of 111 respondents. This study found that this can occur due to work activities carried out without the help of lifting machines or goods moving equipment, which results in workers doing manual handling work. According to the manual handling work position of manufacturing industry workers in Ponorogo, lifting unexpected loads has the highest frequency rate at 56%. The body part of manufacturing industry workers most affected by manual handling is the arm with a percentage of 13.36%. There is a significant relationship of 3 Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders indicator variables with Manual Handling, namely on the upper back (0.05), lower back with a value of (0.05), legs with a value of (0.003). Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders with Manual Handling has a significant relationship of with a value of (0.050).
