Abstract

Work stress is one factor that can be related to worker productivity, especially in jobs with high demands and workloads. This condition is important to pay attention to among workers at PT. Sarana Remaja Mandiri, given the characteristics of jobs in the fields of steel fabrication and construction, which have work demands that can be related to stress and productivity. This study aims to determine the level of work stress, worker productivity, and the relationship between the two at PT. Sarana Remaja Mandiri. The study used a quantitative method with a correlational analytical design, involving 35 workers through a total sampling technique. Data were obtained using work stress and worker productivity questionnaires and analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that the average work stress score was 38.77 and the average worker productivity score was 44.51. The Pearson correlation test yielded a correlation coefficient of -0.437 with a significance value of 0.009 (p<0.05). These results indicate a significant negative relationship between work stress and worker productivity, meaning that increased work stress tends to be followed by a decrease in productivity. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to managing work stress through workload management, communication between leaders and workers, and regular monitoring of working conditions.
