Professionalism Concept of Work Ethic in Islamic Perspective

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of performance discipline and work environment on employee performance. The research was conducted at HuseinSastranegara Airport Bandung. The sample in this study amounted to 96 taken based on the Slovin formula. Data were obtained using a questionnaire technique with a 5-level Likert scale. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that work discipline partially has no effect on performance, while the work environment partially affects performance. Meanwhile, simultaneously work discipline and work environment variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, the R2 value of the regression analysis is 0.702 which means that 70.2% of employee performance is influenced by work discipline and work environment, while the remaining 29.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
